The roots of Ballast Nedam with industrial projects (“Industriebouw”) goes back to the previous century.
Important projects from those times were the first hydrocracker at ExxonMobil, PER+ at SNR (SHELL) and PO-11 at Lyondell. Ballast Nedam was already a major partner and contractor in these projects. The experience and knowledge of our employees and (senior) management goes back to those times and we believe that the birth of the present Ballast Nedam Industriebouw BV was from those projects. The workpreparators and supervisors from those times are now the senior management team CEO, CTO and COO within Ballast Nedam Industriebouw BV.
In 2013/2014 , Ballast Nedam Holding decided, to separate Industriebouw as a business unit from the rest of the Infra organisation, with a vision to create a specialist (working in western-Europe) in industrial projects, which would be able to handle the most complicated industrial projects (technical and schedule wise) on a high standard of safety and quality in an environment of “live” plants and existing installations.
After the take-over in 2015 by the Renaissance group the development continued to an independent private company (BV), with a strong connection with Renaissance Heavy Industries, a 100% subsidiary of Renaissance. From that moment, the vision became wider, to extend more disciplines (electrical and mechanical) and different contracts (EPC).
Our believe is :
“Ballast Nedam Industriebouw + Renaissance Heavy Industries is like 1 + 1 = 3 !!!”
and therefore, we look with trust to the future.
The question, clients and partners ask me a lot is:
“Why should I want to work with Ballast Nedam Industriebouw BV and what are my benefits ?”
